15 Mar Portrait Session with Florence
I think it’s amazing how being around positive and productive people can really make you a better person. Whether it’s yours simple as your happiness increasing making you shine or within your creative or professional life. I am lucky to have close ladies like this in my life. I love getting together to try new concepts with my best friend, Florence, and the amazing and super sweet stylist, Fatima. I genuinely enjoy them company and I am lucky to have met them though the world of photography.
We got together to do a shoot after not being able to since Halloween. It’s crazy to think it’s been that long. Here is the before and after for Florence’s look. I absolutely love this look! Especially the soft pink lipstick. Fatima is beyond amazing at making people look their very best. We used Monroe lashes by Laash Lashes. Nothing like a pair of beautiful lashes to finalize the look.
We started our session with a casual look; a pink shirt and jeans. I love keeping it simple for the first look. The pink shirt was a great match for the pink tones of Florence’s makeup.
Our second look came from my photography wardrobe. I love vintage looking dresses and fashion. My mother in law, Ruth, picked me up this dress last year. She always keeps an eye out for vintage clothing for my photography business. I am so blessed to have such supportive family and friends. I paired the gold dress with a vintage blue fabric that I used as a background by pinning it to the wall. Blue Gold combination is so beautiful together.
Florence brought a second hand white fur coat her boyfriend gave her. There are so many different ways you can photograph a woman in a fur coat. Because we are in March with snow melting I figured it would be best to shoot everything in the studio. Here’s our shots with the fur coat.
Our final look was a simple red shirt and a black leather jacket. I loved the lighting we were getting from the last set. I also didn’t feel like switching the background again. We played with the light we had and took a couple shots.
I hope you liked our portraits from this session. If you would like to see more of my team’s work, I have a linked their information below.
